Police Evacuates Suspected Armed Robber In Pool Of Blood In Ughelli North

 

POLICE officers attached to the Ughelli A division has rescued an injured suspected armed robber in pool of blood at Oviri-Ogor community in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.

The suspect was rescued at the scene of crime after he was allegedly matchete by unknown persons while stealing from a caravan store located at Oviri-Ogor community market.

It was learned the suspect and his gang had broke into the store at the market before he was allegedly matchete by unknown persons from behind.

Sources from the community disclosed that the suspect who identified himself as Kelvin Ochuko hails from Oghara Agbarha community.

The source said, The suspect went to alumaco and a welder stores opposite the market before nemesis caught him and other escaped.

According to the source, “The boy confessed that he and three other now at large were on the mission before he was brutally injured and three others escaped.

“They went to one of the churches along Oviri-Ogor road, carted away all the instruments but unluckily for them, the church instrument were found in a nearby bush close to the church, name withheld.

“Some community leaders has to call the police who rushed him to the hospital and I doubt his survival because the injury was much and lost so much blood.

Though the Delta State Public Relations Officer, SP Edafe Bright could not be contacted but a senior police officer confirmed the incident.

The security source said, “We were called and our men were detailed to the place, the suspect was rushed to the hospital for treatment.”
